About

I was born and raised in the South.  The youngest of five children.  I was born on the 31st day of December 1967 in Greenville, Alabama. I was suppose to be a New Year’s Day baby and the nurse wound up delivering me.

My father was a minister and we moved several times around the state of Alabama while growing up.  I met my future wife Linda Lowe at a small country church my father pastored and on a cold December night in 1986 my father married us. We have been happily married for over 30 years and counting. We lived in the small community of Honoraville, (pronounced: Hon-ora-ville) Alabama a few miles east of Greenville from where I was born. But now we live near Luverne.  We have one son and five dogs.  What can I say, we love dogs.

I love writing songs, especially gospel songs and songs of humor. I also love to play the guitar and piano.  I have written several short stories (some you can read on here) and have also written some children’s books, novels, novellas and a biography of my father none of which I have published yet but plan to do in the future.

So sit back, relax, browse my site, read my poems, thoughts and short stories and I hope you enjoy your visit.

    Hi David,
Here is one of those “small world” kinda things for you. My name is David Tadlock, too. I was born December 28, 1961 and am the youngest of 6 children. My wife Tammy and I have been married 28 years. We have 1 son, 1 daughter.
We had 2 dogs but they got old and passed on. Hey, guess what, I too play guitar and have often thought about becoming an author. lol.
I think it’s great how you are waging the war on cancer.
I just wanted to stop by and say “Hi”, and send my best wishes to you and your family.
    Sincerely,
    David Tadlock

It is ironic that we both have very similar backgrounds pertaining to family. This year (12/5/2013) my wife and I will be married for 27 yrs. My second full novel seems to be a rather slow go but I have alot of other things in the works. I’m getting closer to being completely finished with a children’s book. Thank you for the kind words and have a very Blessed day.
